It’s hard to say since I don’t know the content - what I wrote sounds like some Knight or medieval thing but there’s so many ways you could say that. I would say it will never be forgotten, not that it will be remembered for almost everyone’s life.

A date which will live in infamy.
It may be ungrammatical but then FDR was a bit distracted at the time.
A date that will live in infamy (or honor if it was something positive)
