How to say "realize" in French, "Rendre compte vs Réliser?" (Context in question)?
I have to write a depressing love poem for my French class and I was wondering how I would properly construct the sentence "Please never realize that you are perfect" in French. The speaker is basically saying "please don't realize how good you are and leave me." Does that make sense? Please ask for more information if this unclear!
My best guesses are:
S’il te plaît, ne réalise jamais à quel point tu es parfait
or
S’il te plaît, ne te rends compte jamais que tu es parfait.

Your first sentence is all good but "réaliser" is felt to be an anglicism (a word borrowed from English) by many French purists including myself.

"se rendre compte de", "prendre conscience de" are better French.
So your second translation will be alright once you change the position of "jamais" →
"S’il te plaît, ne te rends JAMAIS compte que tu es parfait."
Prendre conscience is a perfect synonym of both and it sounds better for a poem
"s'il te plaît, ne prends jamais conscience que tu es parfait"
I Realized In French
If it's a depressing love poem as you said, then i imagine a hopelessly-in-love lover talking to himself about the one he loves.
In this case, ur first try brings out his feelings perfectly...
"S’il te plaît, ne réalise jamais à quel point tu es parfait" (please don't ever realize just how perfect you are).
Just for fun: "S’il te plaît, ne réalise jamais à quel point tu es parfait, parce que je sais que tu me quitteras le jour que tu sauras" (please don't ever realize just how perfect you are, because i know you'ill leave me the day you'll know)

Hi both are correct you can say "rends compte or réaliser"
S'il te plaît, ne te rends jamais compte que tu es parfait.
