Hi, I live in Vancouver, Washington and my fiancé lives in Arkansas. He was planning on visiting during winter vacation. And seeing how SAW 3D was coming out in October, we thought we should go see it. But I was wondering if it will still be playing in theaters when he gets here (sometime in December). Also, I'm 16 and he's 18 and since SAW is an R-rated movie, would I be able to go watch the movie with him? I can have my father buy the tickets for us but am I able to go see it if only me and my fiancé are going to go see it? 10 points to the best answer! Thanks!

I'm 21, and I saw movies that were rated R before I was 18 and I have only gotten carded once or twice. So if you look like you're over 18, you'll most likely be okay.
But If Saw 3D comes out in October and he's coming in December, there's a chance it might not be in theaters still, it depends on the sales in the box office. I live just south of you in Portland, and if it's out in the theaters in Vancouver, they might still be showing it in some mall theaters in Portland, or the cheap theaters.
It depends on how well the movies do while playing in theaters. If they make a lot of money, the movie will stay longer. For instance.. Inception is STILL playing at the full price theaters.. while Legendary started two weeks ago and is available on DVD and Bluray this coming Tuesday.
I can almost guarantee you that you WILL be carded for SAW. I never really used to have the problem of being carded, but for movies such as Jackass & SAW.. they take those serious and make sure you are of age because of what is in them. If it's a rated R comedy, they might be a little more lenient.
It depends on the popularity of the movie. Also, you need guardian over 21 if you are under 17.
