I just typed a long explanation of why it isn't happening but lost it all. Suffice to say anyone in the credit/lending industry knows that the probability of this is very, very, small.

I do not know how bad or good is U.K's economy but it definitely is hard these days. There are some banks who are willing to give you loans eventhough your credit is not excellent. They rather have their money spread than keeping stored in their locker. So, it will depend on what bank you apply at. If your credit is good then you will most likely to get loan approved from any bank.
