Complete the square,
(x-0.5)^2 = 3+0.5^2
x = 0.5 +/- sqrt(3.25)
Set it to 0
2x^2+2x+6=0
Then factor if u need more help let me know
2x² = 2x+6
2x² - 2x - 6 = 0
2(x² - x - 3) = 0
x² - x - 3 = 0
x = [1 ± â13] / 2
