You can use alt code or unicode.
To do alt code, google alt codes.
Find a list of alt codes.
To use alt code, hold the alt key down, and then type the numbers on your keypad, and the special character should appear.
To use unicode, google unicode.
There should be an official unicode website.
To make unicode, type the code, and then hold down alt and press x and the code you typed should turn into the desired character.
I know you hold down the shift and alt/option button at the same time, but as to which key on the keyboard you press, I'm unsure, try to expirement. But some computers don't do that.
Hope this helps!
do alt+ a number 1-10 ♥
☺☻♥♦♣♠•◘○ Hold the Alt button and then on the key pad...1-9
you use the ALT button and then hold it down and press numbers, like 123456789 10 11 12 13 and so fourth ♥
turn on num lock and type 6 (o) for ♠, 3 (l) for ♥, 5(i) for ♣, and 4(u) for ♦
if you have a desktop computer numlock should be on already, if so, then hold in alt before you type the numbers.
♥: press alt and 3 at the same time.
♦: press alt and 4 at the same time.
♣:press alt and 5 at the same time.
♠:press alt and 6 at the same time.
•:press alt and 7 at the same time.
◘: press alt and 8 at the same time.
○: press alt and 9 at the same time.
