Satan slandered God by calling him a liar for one thing...God had told Adam and Eve that if they ate from the tree that was in the middle of the garden they would die (which they did eventually...they had been created to live forever and would have, had they remained obedient to God) Satan called God a liar when he said to Eve...(Genesis 3:4-5) “. . .: “YOU positively will not die. 5 For God knows that in the very day of YOUR eating from it YOUR eyes are bound to be opened and YOU are bound to be like God, KNOWING good and bad.””

He was also slandering God by insinuating that God was withholding something good from them, and was being dishonest with them...in effect, saying that they could decide for themselves what was right for them better than could God, their Creator.

3 Gossip is “idle talk, not always true, about other people and their affairs.” It is “light, familiar talk or writing.” Since all of us are interested in people, we sometimes say good, upbuilding things about others. Slander is different. It is “a false report meant to do harm to the good name and reputation of another.” Such talk is generally malicious and is unchristian.

First you need to admit that slander is a bad thing. Slander is essentially saying bad things about people that are unfounded or blatantly untrue. You wouldn't want people spreading lies about you, since this could impact you personally and/or professionally. If it would be wrong for others to do to you, then it follows that it would be wrong for you to do it also.

If you found out that someone was spreading lies about you, how would you treat that person when you encountered them? Would you tell others that you were slandered by this person? Being pointed out as a slanderer can be almost as bad as the effects of the slander itself...no one wins.

And that is why we should want to avoid slandering others.

So how does that reflect on Christians who goes around slandering the Atheists for being evil wicked one?

he went and told Eve that if you eat from the tree you would not die, after Jehovah told Adam not to eat from the tree because you would die. the devil lied to Eve and then she lied to Adam and told him to eat of the tree that Jehovah told him not to eat. and they did die in Jehovah's eyes. that is why we should not slander anyone. I had that happen to me, a so called brother slandered me and my late husband to the elders. I know Jehovah will deal with him.
