The apostle Paul wrote : “The head of every man is the Christ; in turn the head of a woman is the man; in turn the head of the Christ is God.” (1 Corinthians 11:3)
How can Jesus be God- when the Bible says he has a Head- or someone who is above Him?
What Say Ye?
Update:Karl you evading the Question. You cannot possible be thinking that Ex 3: 14 is talking about Jesus, not unless you expect People to think that Jesus is Jehovah?

The Bible is crystal clear in showing us that Jesus IS NOT God, NEVER has been God, and he NEVER will be God.
Here's a sampling of the scriptures that clearly show this:
Matthew 16:15, 16 (this is Jesus speaking to his apostles about who he is): "He said to them: "You, though, who do you say I am?" In answer, Simon Peter said: "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." - (Right away, Jesus own close apostles and disciples knew that Jesus was not God himself. They knew him to be a separate, subordinate being in relation to the Almighty God.)
Revelation 3:14 (talking about Jesus) describes him as "the beginning of the creation by God". - (So one that is created by another is never equal to the one that created them. It plainly says that God started his creation with Jesus.)
John 20:31 (this verse is right after the account where Jesus appeared before Thomas) says: "But these have been written down that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God, and that, because of believing, you may have life by means of his name." (Again, that experience shows that Jesus' own apostles knew Jesus to be God's son, and NOT God himself.)
John 20:17 (Jesus appeared before Mary Magdalene after his death and resurrection): "Jesus said to her: 'Stop clinging to me. For I have not yet ascended to the Father. But be on your way to my brothers and say to them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God'." - (So very clearly, Jesus told Mary that when he returned to heaven, he would be returning before the god that they worshipped and that HE worshipped as well. Jesus and his followers worshipped the same god.....again demonstrating that Jesus himself is NOT God.)
John 14:28 (Jesus clearly makes the distinction between himself and Almighty God) says: "You heard that I said to you, I am going away and I am coming (back) to you. If you loved me you would rejoice that I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am." - (Again, Jesus reiterates that he is lesser than his Father. The Father, God, the one who sent Jesus to the earth, is superior to Jesus and therefore, NOT Jesus.)
John 1:34 (the testimony of John the Baptizer): "And I have seen (it), and I have borne witness that this one is the Son of God." - John, the one who baptized Jesus in the Jordan and heard God's voice from heaven offers his truthful testimony to the fact that Jesus is NOT God, but God's Son.)
Mark 5:7 (the account of Jesus encountering a demon-possessed man who lived among the caves and memorial tombs. Notice what the demons said when Jesus approached:) "and, when he had cried out with a loud voice, he said: "What have I to do with you, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I put you under oath by God not to torment me." - (Again, take note that the demons, enemies of God and Jesus, fully acknowledged the fact that Jesus is God's Son and NOT that Jesus was God himself. Ask yourself......if the demons, who had once been angels in heaven in Jesus' presence and God's presence, will acknowledge the fact that Jesus and God are not the same, how can anyone else contradict that?)
Matthew 28:18: "And Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying "All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth." - (Again, think about it.....Jesus had to be GIVEN that authority, meaning he didn't have it before. And he had to be GIVEN that authority from someone superior to him who had it to give. That superior person was God. Thus, again, Jesus is not and was not God.)
Mark 13:32 (in reference to knowledge of the time when this system of things will end): "Concerning that day or the hour nobody knows, neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but the Father." - (So clearly, if the Father knows something that the Son does not, obviously Jesus is not God and not equal to God.)
Revelation 1:1 says: "A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent forth his angel and presented (it) in signs through him to his slave John," - (And yet one more time, there's a chain of individuals that John's revelation came through before it reached him. The topmost was from Almighty God himself, who gave it to Jesus, who passed it to an angel, who delivered it to John. Again, this shows very clearly that Jesus is NOT God. If Jesus were God, then he would have received that revelation from himself, and so that scripture wouldn't have made any sense.)
Acts 7:55 (just before the martyr Stephen was stoned to death, he saw a vision of heaven): "But he, being full of holy spirit, gazed into heaven and caught sight of God's glory and of Jesus standing at God's right hand," - (Yet again, he sees Jesus as standing at God's side, at God's favored position, separate and distinct from God himself. He clearly saw two separate individuals.)
(NOTE) - Some will try and use John 10:31 "I and the father are one" to try and prove that Jesus is God. But again, careful consideration of the verse, the context, and even Jesus' words further on in the book of John in John 17:21, 22 shows that "I and the father are one" DOES NOT equal "The father and I are the same person". And why is that? At John 17:21, 22, Jesus prayed regarding his followers: “That they may all be one,” and he added, “that they may be one even as we are one.” He used the same Greek word (hen) for “one” in all these instances. Obviously, Jesus’ disciples do not all become part of the Trinity. But they do come to share a oneness of purpose with the Father and the Son, the same sort of oneness that unites God and Christ.
There are scriptures contradictory to the doctrine of the trinity.
Colossians 1:15 Jesus the firstborn of all creation.
Revelation 1:1 Jesus [in heaven] revealed things by God.
Matthew 4:10 Satan tempting God a contradiction to James 1:13 which God cannot be tempted.
John 1:18 No man has seen God
How many scriptures need invalidating to fit the trinity? Further where do the above scriptures fit in the trinitarian viewpoint?
No wonder the trinity is shrouded in such mystery.
There is no God the Son or God the Holy Spirit in the entire Bible only God the Father.
Excellent question. I say? The Trinity is an idea coopted from the pagan beliefs of the Greeks, the Assyrians and the Egyptians, among others. All of those faiths believed in triune gods. There are so many scriptures similar to this. The gospels alone are crystal clear in showing Jesus and his father are two separate and distinct beings. But even simple logic tells you this. If Jesus is God, and Jesus was dead. Who resurrected him. If Jesus was God and hehe was dead, who was in charge of the universe for 3/12 days. If Jesus ws God why did he say things like the Father is greater than I am, or my food is to do the will of he that sent me, or I am ascending to my Father and YOUR Father, to my GOD and your God and finally he is said to be seated at God's right hand. So if he's God does that mean he's beside himself?
The trinity is not God's word. The ancient Hebrews knew nothing of the trinity and they worshipped the True God.
Trinity was developed by tradition of the Catholics in the 4th Century.
Jesus only taught how to pray to the Father. Why would a teacher not teach correctly for when he would return to heaven?
Jesus only gave praise to the Father - NOBODY ELSE. Not himself nor the holy spirit. Only the Father was prayed to.
Does the Bible only consist of John chapter 17 verses 1-8? Anyways does the Bible teach the following: Theocracy, millennium, rapture, centralized world organization, Watchtower organization, Kingdom hall, ministerial servants, Circuit Assemblies, Theocratic, Ministry School? Yet why do you believe in it?
Lets not take the verse alone out of context, so:
1. As God is the head of Christ, and Christ is the head of man, so man is the head of woman. Such is the Lord's eternal order of government and control. (Verse 3.)
2. As man is the image and glory of God, so woman is the glory of man. Such specifies the relative position of the sexes. (Verse 7.)
3. As the woman, Eve, was created for the man, Adam, and not the reverse, so women are subordinate to men and are subject to their control. Such is the practical rule that does and must exist between the sexes by virtue of the simple fact that there cannot be two equal heads. (Verses 8 and 9.)
4. As eternal life grows out of the continuation of the family unit in eternity, and as a family unit consists of a husband and a wife, so-"in the Lord"-it takes a man and a woman together to gain the glorious state of exaltation. Such is the whole object and end of the gospel, and as such it forms a kind and degree of equality between the sexes, still, however, leaving the man to preside over the woman as God presides over the man. (Verses 11 and 12.)
In connection with these basic gospel principles, Paul comments on local customs and traditions, for instance, that a woman should have her head covered when she prays or prophesies, lest she be as though her head were shaven, which according to local custom would identify her as an adulteress. In the eternal sense it is wholly immaterial whether a woman wears a hat or is bare-headed when she prays. In Paul's day the bare head was irreverent; in our's reverence and respect are shown by removing the hat. In other words, gospel principles are eternal, and it is wise to adhere to the passing customs which signify adherence to that course which adds to rather than detracts from the great and important revealed truths.
You are getting into the nature of God. God revealed Himself to man in many ways throughout history, yet never before in the flesh to lay down His life for His people.
Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit (another part of the three-part Godhead, aka Trinity) into the womb of a virgin (Mary) and was born into poverty. He lived a sinless life and died for the sins of the world. On the third day after His death, He rose again to display to people that He has overcome death and has paved the way for us to do the same.
His death and resurrection profoundly altered the way people interact with God the Father. Now we don't need an intercessor as Jesus opened the door forever. All we need to do is claim Him as our lord and savior and He will enter our hearts and transform us into His image.
Feel free to email and I'll be happy to discuss this at length.
The One and Only God consists of three persons: The Father on His throne in Heaven; The Son, Jesus; and the Holy Spirit. We should not try to figure out spiritually when we live in a physical world.
in context, it is very correct.
the ones citing off scripture, that's fine but we want BIBLE proof, not what some church guy says. and songs & silly videos are not what we want to see.
show me a scripture that says jesus is god.
you can not.
unless you get the book of mormon. it DOES exist in their book.
in the bible, though, jesus is the son.
he is not the i am

Ye has nothing to say, because you are right The head of Jesus is Jehovah. Rev.3:12
I'm not really sure, but I think it means that God sort of controls Jesus, like men sometimes control women.
That's just my interpretation, but I actually have no idea if that is right.
