Would that not be saying something like the Head of the President is.....?
Paul wrote this when Christ had ALREADY returned to heaven, so the " in human form" response does not apply. After all your thinking is that they are all equal in power etc etc..
What say ye?
Update:Oh Jesa... the Ol egg trick?
Update 3:Scott- your response shows how much you in the dark on your own belief, like l said if you incapable of knowing the answer its always best to just close your mouth and let others make sense of this nonsense doctrine. Calling someone a troll shows your lack of common sense. And yes, you should have walked away because you still have made no sense and have come off looking silly.
Update 5:Dogma- Jeremiah 31:34 says this"..for they will all KNOW me, from the least one of them to the Greatest ".. to somehow suggest that God cannot be understood is nonsense.
James 4:8 says "draw close to God and he will draw close to you"..How do you draw close to someone who is a mystery?
Your arguement is coming apart at the seams.

That's an easy one, Jesus is God from the beginning as others have pointed out and you have rejected. The following passage shows that when Christ incarnated, even though he is eternally God, He became a man. In His incarnation as a man, He "emptied Himself of all power of deity and relegated all power to the Father. In that sense, He is in submission to the Father, but as you can see in the following verses, one day Christ will be above all in heaven and earth and receive all worship, the Bible clearly teaches that only God is to be worshiped. Jesus is God and is equal to the Father who is also God and is in subjection to Him only in the instance of the redemption of mankind.
Php 2:5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,
Php 2:6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,
Php 2:7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.
Php 2:8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
Php 2:9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name,
Php 2:10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
You can try to argue this away based on your skepticism but it is pretty clear to anyone with an open mind or who is actually looking for a real answer to a particular question.
Only trolls cherry pick. That seems to be the only way you know how to make a point. Grow up.
IN RESPONSE: Sorry troll, you are a one trick pony and I have a right to respond. Walking away would allow someone like you to spew lies and twist scripture. Not going to do it. You want me to go so you can get away with it. BTW - you countered with a portion of a verse in a much larger passage. Big difference.
Spewing lies you troll doesn't make you right. I'm just fine on my own belief, but then I do more than parrot the internet which we all know is the only source you have. You can publicly call me out but I wager people on this forum are a lot smarther than you, everyone knows your agenda. I think I'll stick around, if you had your way you'd only want people here that agree with you, which is what you sound like.
There's a lot of controversy around Paul. 1) he never met Jesus 2) he showed up after Jesus died and spoke a lot to James who said he was Jesus brother. It's thought that paul was a roman spy sent to diffuse and confuse christians and steer them away from the Jewish teachings. Paul had james killed. Due to people thinking he was Jesus brother they changed the name in the bible from James to Stephen and relabeled him Stephen the martyr so that people would not be upset that Jesus brother was killed. I did look into this as well.
The Trinity is really tricky to cover, but basically its like that old '3 parts of an egg' thing. there are 3 parts to it, but it makes one egg and all parts are needed.
Not too sure on the terminology used by Paul, but yes, Jesus is God.
It may not suit your intellect...but Christian theology has always billed "Trinitarianism" as a mystery of the faith.... You should have known that going in.
I won't inundate you with metaphors that will always fall short of describing God's nature (How could the finite ever fully perceive the infinite?)
But I will ask this... Why would the nature of an infinite and supernatural creator being be necessarily bound to the same nature as the finite beings he creates? (ie; one person / one being)
589. – The third comparison he makes is of God to the Lord, when he says: The head of Christ is God. Here it should be noted that this name, “Christ,” signifies the person mentioned by reason of His human nature: and so this name, “God,” does not refer only to the person of the Father but the whole Trinity, from which as from the more perfect all goods in the humanity of Christ are derived and to which the humanity of Christ is subjected. It can be understood in another way, so that this name, “Christ,” stands for that person by reason of his divine nature; then this name, “God,” stands only for the person of the Father, Who is called the head of the Son not by reason of a greater perfection or by reason of any supposition, but only according to origin and conformity of nature; as it says in Ps 2 (v. 7): “The Lord said to me: you are my Son; today I have begotten you.”
590. – But these can be taken mystically, inasmuch as there is in the soul a certain spiritual union. For sensibility is compared to the female, but reason to the man, by whom sensibility ought to be ruled. Hence he is called her head. Or: the lower reason, which is interested in disposing of and arranging temporal things, is compared to the women. To the man is compared the higher reason, which occupies itself with contemplating eternal things and is called the head of the lower reason, because temporal things should be disposed according to eternal reasons, as it says in Ex (25:9): “Make it according to the pattern I showed you on the mountain.” But Christ is called the head of the man, because reason alone according to its superior part belongs to God.
Jesus isn't god, I AM. Paul was a sexist bigot that never knew jesus; he just embellished stories told about him.
