I'm gng through something very similar, I noticed he had been talking to ex-wife & checked his cell, noticed she was the one looking for him & all the times he had rejected her calls. What gets to me, it's the lying, sworn he hadn't heard from her in a while, when she had just called that day abt 20 times..to me, if there isn't nothing to hide than why lie, he claims cause he knew I'd get like this..To me it made it worse! Cause now, I don't know if I can believe a thing, he says :( Only you know, if he's worth the time, if he's done more good than bad in the past. If hes lying already he will keep lying all through the marriage don't bother because once they know they can avoid the question and lie knowing you will get over it they will keep at it and won't care, even if you have kids things won't change don't involve yourself in a relationship where you already know how things are and you're engaged already. If you want to try something give him an ultimatum he stops the lying and if you catch him its over, don't let him think that he can get away with whatever he wants too by allowing and continuing a relationship with doubts there are some good men out there i wish you good luck :)

Trust is something that is earned it can't just be given back he needs to prove himself to you for you to be able to trust him again. At this point he hasn't given you any reason to trust him if he swore he was telling the truth before you caught him in a lie, their isn't any reason that you should believe that he isn't lying about hiding something now. He needs to find a way to prove he isn't lying.
