How can 40[(√2-2)/(2√2)] be simplified to 20(1-√2), show work please?
My teacher did this on the board, and i dont know how he got to the end result. I see that he cancelled 2's but i still dont understand ..
can somebody explain step by step?

This is because √2 * √2 = 2.
