Will you still need to go to traffic school? Will it go on your record and give points on your license and increase your insurance? Should I just pay the amount instead of risking that the judge may or may not lower it? Are arraignments now mostly over the computer because of COVID?

If you had an arraignment, you DID appear before a judge. If you paid the ticket instead of appearing in court, you plead guilty and your plea was accepted. If you didn't pay, and didn't appear, you were found guilty by default.
If it is not dismissed, yes, of course.
Assuming you did not call the court to make some other arrangement (pay your fine up front, request traffic school or a new court date, etc.) you've probably already been given an additional charge of "failure to appear." This will add a couple hundred dollars to your fine and show up as a separate charge on your record.
Worst case, a warrant may be issued for your arrest. In most cases, however, you will have been seen as forfeiting your right to an arraignment and a "guilty" plea will be entered on your behalf (this may already be explained on the back of your ticket).
Traffic school is usually offered as alternative punishment in lieu of the maximum fine and reporting the charge to your insurance company. By failing to appear you probably forfeited that choice as well.
At this point your best bet would be to call the court clerk, say that you missed your court date and see how much you now owe and if there is a "bench warrant" that you need to clear.
You have never went to Court? What? It is IMPOSSIBLE for an arraignment to be held without the accused being present. I have NO idea if you'll go to traffic school because I don't know WHERE or the reason for the ticket.
Yes, any/all convictions, guilty pleas, no contest pleas, go on your driving record. Whether or not your insurance coverage premium will increase is the decision of YOUR auto insurance, not the Judge (or me). I have NO idea whether to pay the amount or contest the ticket because, AGAIN, where and why?
