Tears ago I was having almost constant pain and stiffness in my neck/shoulder area. The chiropractor was great and I've never had a problem again. Do not hesitate to go to one. They know what they are doing. If he/she can't help you he/she will tell you so.

He will probably take x-rays first to see where it hurts and then he will do what he needs to do to help relieve the pain. Won't hurt if you can relax and let him do what he/she has to do.

Chiro is... kinda a scam, but as long as they confine themselves to your spine they actually do seem to be able to do some good. If they start talking about curing allergies, immune disease, or cancer, sprint for the hills.

It's basically an aggressive form of massage.

You probably will hear popping sounds, but as an adult you are unlikely to have them break your neck. They do periodically break infant's necks, but infant necks are way weaker than yours.

I go to a chiropractor regularly. The treatments keep me on my feet. For awhile there will be soreness in the area adjuster. Put ice on it if so, no heat.
