Obama sent only half of the requested surge numbers his generals wanted "in order to win" the war. If your generals say they need 6 and you send them 3 you can't expect to win and you just waste men's lives. The surge worked in Iraq and we won, we freed 15 million women, but then the generals got what they needed.
This surge was a waste of men's lives and has accomplished nothing. The Head of the Red Cross in Afghanistan says civilians are in greater danger now than 2005 when he got there.

Bush entered us into the war with Iraq and Afghanistan. Then Obama inherited the problem. The rise in deaths in Afghanistan is because of the drawdowns from Iraq, most military personnel were sent to Afghanistan where insurgent activity rose dramatically. The U.S. is waiting for the Afghan people to regain the stability they require.
I don't know where you got your numbers from but you are sooo wrong because the death toll hasn't reached nearly 3000 Americans. Since the beginning of OEF the death toll of Americans JUST reached 2,000 in 10 years! Get your facts straight and stop killing people off.
