I realized after he was done that I didn’t see him change it, when he didn’t throw out mine.
Now it’s all I’m thinking about. What are the chances I contracted something from this used razor.
Will my doctor think I’m nuts if I bring this up to him.
I did get cut a little over a pimp, so if there was a virus on the razor it is possible it entered my blood stream
Is it a common occurrence to contract stuff this way?

If you're getting a shave in a barber shop, the barber is probably using a straight razor (not a "razor' like you would use if you were shaving yourself at home).
Barber shops have many blades for straight razors. and they don't "throw them away" after use. The blades are all placed in a disinfecting solution or under ultraviolet light where they remain, until one of the blades is used with the next customer; and then the blade is returned to the disinfecting solution or the ultraviolet light for later use. .
If he were changing the blade for each customer then he would do it just before starting on the customer so that any other contaminants were removed as well.
They also use ultraviolet light. You are worrying about nothing.
i would ask him about it, maybe he changed it and you just didnt see him
Check with the board of health they would know more than anybody what to do.
They put their tools in disinfectant. If you got a barbershop shave it should have been with a straight razor like your great great grandfather used.
