Oh gosh. There were so many good bys. Every time I got shipped to a new post, I always came home on leave first. After a few days, I'd have to leave. And I can remember that Mom always walked out into the yard and waved til she was just a tiny speck in the rearview mirror. I never have known just how long she stood there. But the words "good bye" were never spoken. Instead "come when you can honey" were always her words. I know everyone thinks their Mom was the best in the world, and I wouldn't argue with them. That's the way it should be. So was mine. The very best. I love you Mom. (Thank you Sunshine)
Oh God! This is the second time today that I cried! The first time was earlier when I was writing a short story and thinking about how grateful I feel to still have my mom with me, despite severe health challenges.
My thoughts on my mom: She's the kindest strongest most loving person that I will ever know and I am grateful to the core of my being for having been given the gift of being her daughter.
I looked for an appropriate mother song to include just now and found this!! It lightened up my gloominess anyway!
Ok enough is enough!! I am crying all over the place! Alexis gave up Sam when she was a baby, then much later....... The Sam character was introduced on General Hospital (which btw I have been watching since Luke and Laura met, fell in love, got married, and she went crazy, and is now in a sanitarium) Through testing Alexis and Sam found out they were actually mother and daughter. Alexis was diagnosed with cancer. That brings us to today! That video was truly amazing! Thanks! What a beautiful way to rememer your Mother on Mother's Day. ps I called my mother today just to let her know how much I care! The bottom link sums up my feelings for my Mother!!
