This was a question out of a challenge test prep booklet, I need to understand how to work it out.
its a multiple choice:
a) (9¿3) + 3
b) (8¿4) + 2
c) (6¿4) + 1
(2¿4) = 2x4-(2+4) = 2
(3¿6)= 3x6-(3+6) = 9
result 2x9 = 18
let ¿ = x
lets say dxy = d*y - d+y => dxy = dy-d-y
and since we have 2x4 using the same principle 2x4 = 2*4-2-4 = 8-6 = 2
same goes for 3x6 = 3*6-3-6 = 9
so we have 2*9 = 18
