02B2: Incorrect Drive A Type – RUN SETUP
Press <F1> to setup, <F2> to resume
By pressing F2 I’m lead to a screen that gives me the option of a safe mode, Safe mode with networking, Safe mode with command prompt, and one that says Last good configuration, and Start windows normally….
No matter what I choose I’m lead back to this same screen….

Either the diskette drive went bad or it is not plugged in correctly. As a temporary fix, you can physically disable the drive so that the system doesn't see it as good or bad.
First.... unplug your computer... :) Open the case of your system and look for the diskette drive. It will be fairly easy to see it, even from the inside. There will be two things attached to it... a power cable and a system cable. Just unplug it. Boot your computer up again and, since your system will no longer see the drive, the error will go away. If you actually need your diskette drive, try unplugging the two attachments and re-seating them. If, and only if you are really comfortable working inside the PC (i.e. grounding yourself, etc.), you can do the same for the cable that goes to the system board. If not, take it to a tech.
If you do have a floppy drive on the computer then the best way to fix this error is one of two ways. First, you would want to press F1 to enter the CMOS setup. You might have accidently changed the floppy setting to 720 instead of 1.44. Secondly, the connector might not be plugged in all the way or the cable is going bad. Since it is saying incorrect drive, I would look at the CMOS settings before anything. This error is before windows starts so by changing it in windows does not fix the problem.
Good advice from C-Bug and Ol'Grizzler. But run Malwarebytes in Normal Mode if possible since this is one program that does work better in Normal Mode than Safe Mode and also make sure you download and install the updates file for Malwarebytes as well. Failing that, check my profile for a guide to an alternate and comprehensive clean that you may be able to get through. It's not unusual for a virus to block the installation or running of an antivirus program.
This message means that your floppy disc drive (FDD) is not being recognised by your system. If you have Windows XP then go start>control panel>system. Then Hardware tab. Then device Manager button. Then go down to "floppy disc drives". Highlight your FDD, right click and then uninstall. You will be warned that you are about to uninstall your device. Click OK button. Now restart your PC. Unless you are really unlucky the FDD will be recognised and the correct drivers will be installed. You should have no further problems. If this doesn't work you will be asked to insert the floppy or CD containing the drivers.
