This again is the Tories doing Cameron finished what Thatcher started. We politically may not be on the same page Sweet Pea but i agree this is outragous. They should be penalised. Renationalise the energy and rail companies and remove VAT from fuel bills.
Sweat Pea...Its the same old question and its always with the Energy Companies. Lets look at it in another way. What the Government have done is a request to them to take this £50 (that's ONE pound a week) off the Energy bills. Its like you going to the Grocer and tell him to knock off a couple of bob of your shopping bill. He will probably tell you something like "Have a good day"
At this stage and the way things stand, the Energy Companies are not obliged to play ball with any one and that is what they are doing.
So now with all the shouting from the lame Politicians, lets see what they could actually do, without having to beg these greedy institutions.
Lets start with the 5% VAT, on an average monthly bill that amounts to about £5. Then you have the Standard Charges for Electric and Gas which are about £16. So straight away you are talking of nearly £20 off per month.
You have heard the Energy Companies stating that part of the increases are the facts that the have to ensure that the supply lines are in good condition. Well if that is the case, then there is no need for the Standard Charges, because it appears they are charging us twice.
Now if the Government were to reduce what I have pointed out, then the Energy Companies would have no further argument.
Its just my opinion. But what is the point of shouting (Government) when they are as guilty as these parasites that supply our Energy.

Rant over.
Have a nice day as always.
Customers have massive power, yet they seem not to know this fact.
Customers can easily call all the shots.
All the Customers ever have to do is to form themselves into a 'Union' and take on the power companies at their own game.
Strategy - to bring down cost of energy in the home.
Day one - a total boycott on the use of electricity for 24 hours - no lights, no boil kettle (electric) and no watch tv and etc.
Yes it may be hard but people quickly get used to the idea and they feel empowered knowing that millions of other Union members are doing the dame.
Create website for Union members to make contact with Union and other members etc.
It's dead simple really.

No, it's not fair.
They won't be penalised either though, unfortunately. As most of the power companies are in the Politician's pockets.
