FOXY... We know that our politicians are well known for taking the Pee out of the public. Here is a clear example, if an example is needed.
The Independent Standards Authority's YouGov poll comes two days after MP's voted to cap benefit rises at ONE percent.
A remark by an "unnamed MP whinged " That the quality of MP's will be reduced if the pay does not improve"
"Quality" ? What bloody quality is he talking about ? No wonder he is unnamed. What a Plonker.
This again proves, how out of touch these selfish and greedy individuals are with the working people.
Our Parliamentarians show us that they have indeed lost the grip on reality.
Millions of workers have had their pay frozen and the benefits were capped.
So in a nutshell, if they think that the quality will suffer, than I think we will all agree to that, because we shall not see any changes in the standard provided at present.
They truthfully should not be getting a payrise. apparently the rustic is approximately to bypass into economic disaster with the aid of fact there's no enhance - so why ought to they get a payrise whilst no person else is? they must be interior the comparable circumstances as another individual interior the united kingdom and then they'd be somewhat greater conscious and do some thing to help out.
There used to be a time when people entered Politics through some sort of patriotism - these days it's obviously all about the money and whatever else they can screw out of the system.
It wouldn't be so bad if sitting in Westminster was their only occupation - but when you take into account all the backhanders from their "second incomes" it doesn't take a mathematical genius to figure out how they end up as millionares.
It's an insult to every worker in the UK bringing home less than £15k in their paypacket for 40 hours of REAL work.

The UK gives about 10 billion pounds of our money away each year in foreign aid even though millions in the UK live in poverty. The number of food depots springing up all over the country is a direct result of the coalition policies. This should be stopped now.If aid must be given then we should send goods made in the UK to help employment and stop paying so called consultants millions to tell the government how to spend out money.I am not a racist but the sheer number of immigrants flooding in to the UK is killing our vital services eg. education, the NHS,police, prisons, benefits system .If this can not be stopped then it should be discouraged perhaps by saying no benefits until 5 years NI employment stamps have been paid .
Tax avoidance is costing the country over 100 billion pounds per year which is more than the interest repayments on our loans. The government MUST legislate now.Profits made from UK turnover and monies paid in the UK MUST be taxed in the UK.Some accountants and people dodging taxes must have their wealth taken away and be imprisoned.Banks should be responsible for informing the tax office of any money transfers to tax havens so these can be investigated .I realise this may be difficult as it is understood many MP,s use these tax loopholes to avoid tax .
Heating allowance should be stopped and this money in total be put on the state pension so at no cost millions of pensioners would be taken out of poverty.
REAL Job creation should become a priority and this is not rocket science or expensive eg.The government should guarentee the first 15% of capital repayments on mortgages under £150000.This would allow banks to give 95% mortgages which would create a boom in house building and thus provide thousands of REAL jobs.Employment comes from creating a climate for business to invest. To be more competitive there should be an intention to reduce employers NI and business rates.Once we have got business paying their taxes these costs will return from tax on profits and more employment. The rich in the UK are NOT paying their fair share of taxes and we should look at the rest of the world were much higher taxes are paid by the rich.A 60% top rate tax band is still competitive.
Government administration cost is still one of the highest in the world and should have drastic cuts at the top. MP numbers cut by 30%,house of so called Lords 40%.Stop paying silly money for enquiries ,consultants and other hangers on.Then cut costs at council levels to lower council tax.
The people can no longer afford the BBC and this should be sold off or at least the licence should be halved.
I know it is difficult to stop greed and selfish corruption but by lack of punishment this is encouraged [ by all parties ].People must be shown that with money and power comes responsibly .Not an excuse to steal .
Straw isn't his real name of course, suffice to say that when he accused Nick Griffin, on the Question Time charade, of nazism Griffin's reply shut him well and truely up! " My father was in the RAF in WW2 fighting the Nazis, your father, a Communist, chose to sit in a cosy prison cell than to join up in the fight against Hitler."
Do MP's deserve a pay rise you ask, NO they don't. 80% of our laws are at present made in Brussels by the EU superstate, why do we 'need' 650 parasitical MP's lording it over us on an average £230,000 each a year? £65,000 salary plus expenses, allowances and other fiddles mean they cream off as much as they can from the taxpayers paid gravy train.
Look at the so-called workers party, Labour, like the LibCon parties, filled with millionaires who have never did a real job in their lives, I hate them all. Bring on the revolution.
No of course they don't it's a disgrace especially when they are cutting welfare to the disabled. They are not worth the salaries they get now. On top of this they are still robbing the public purse i.e. taxpayers by making false expenses claims. They are not fit to be MPs and certainly not fit to govern the people of this country.
If you seriously think that one of the prime movers of the crime against humanity of tuition fees, and a leading supporter of sending British troops to die for the American empire, is a leftist, you must be delusional. Give my regards to the furry animals that lurk behind your loo to bite your ****, etc.
And no, they don't deserve a payrise, they deserve the sack. All two and a fart Tory parties' MPs.
Not at all. They should be restricted to 1% at the very most, just like the 1% they have imposed on benefits and public sector workers. And their pay should be performance related. Any MP who does not reach a certain level of competence or misses targets should have their pay reduced accordingly.
OMG, are they at it again, I said in a previous answer MPs should get average UK wage, currently £26,000, plus legitimate expenses if they need to travel between their constituency and Westminster, basic accommodation in either and absolutely no profiteering on second homes, it really doesn't seem a lot to ask and it would do so much to restore trust.
No,they are public servants who already get a good screw. There is a pay freeze in the civil service so i don't see why it should not apply to under performing MP's

They should take a £20k pay cut instead because let's face it most of them are useless.
