That's a tough one. I can speak German but it's not easy to pick out the words in that song. I think your best bet would be to ask native German speakers on a forum somewhere, or you could sing the generic "Happy Birthday" song in German; here are the lyrics if you need them:

Or, if you have a pretty good understanding of German, you could write your own song. Either way, I'm sure your friend will be happy to see the trouble you went to.
