That depends...I feel upset that they are that negative and if they have a reason to feel that down I want to be the stronger one and raise them up instead and if they are afraid I want to give them faith and tell them that they are not alone...because I care about others..so i can't just shut off my feelings...but I try to keep on being positive because a positive outlook can make a big difference and I try to make them stop to be afraid...I try to talk to them if they let me...When I worked in all those long term care homes and places I saw a lot of negativity but I also saw a lot of courage even amongst people who were fighting against the odds...and a health care worker will not be able to switch off their emotions...if someone is depressed or feeling low I can only tell them ''I am here for you, can I help you? Maybe talking will not solve your problem but a problem shared is a problem halved...and it all depends on the situation but I feel that if I just feel down and I know that someone really reaches out and is willing to listen and not just for politeness's sake but because they really care, then I feel afterwards ''I am not alone'' this person did really listen'' I feel better because I could get this out of my system and sometimes a stranger or someone who is not a close family member makes it easier to open up to because they are neutral on the matter...they are not personally involved so it is easier to say certain things...and those strong people who raise one up, they don't judge whatever one tells them..they really just want to give a bit of their positive energy to someone whose mind is filled with negativity and to have a positive outlook can make a difference in most things...to be defeatist never helps at all and if something is inevitable then to spend months or weeks to feel full of negativity makes that precious time pass and instead it could be filled with love and with the people who matter and to be lived to the fullest....x
