KieÃling is good in the league, but he is not a European-level striker for some reason as he doesn't offr much to his game besides scoring, and even then it's never a guarantee he'd score in a foreign country. Besides Klose, I don't think that Low likes any of the strikers at his disposal especially Gomez. In fact, Coach Low would rather put Marco Reus in that centre forward role instead.
How am I wrong? I read this straight from Low himself, and this is about Low not why you think.
Marco Reus stays on the left where he is. He can be used in the center, but it is less likely if Ozil is available. And Gotze could play that role too. Gotze however, could be called the new 'forward' or midfielder (false 9) who can act as a forward too. Other than Klose, Gotze is their option in attack and is very likely to happen. It all depends on his role in Bayern next season. He's still 20 years old.
Stefan Kiessling and Loew have personal problems. Loew thinks he is too old and does not match the national teams playing philosophy. He even said in an interview, he does not see him as a future candidate because he is already bringing all these young players together to develop.
