I'm thinking about driving several hours to ride it, but before I do, I want to know details of the ride. Is it all outside, or is some of it indoors? Does it wrap around that faux mountain? (I've seen pictures of the entrance only.)

its inside but really cool. it looks like a professional ride at a theme park. it takes you on a jounry through the amazon or something like that and it takes you under a waterfall. it is quite fun. i personally dont find it worth driving hours for but it was really fun and really good for people who dont want to go on a rollar coaster ride. i made my mom do it with me and she loved it.

Have you ridden the Rainforest Café River Ride in Galveston?

Rainforest Cafe Galveston Tx
Why on Earth would you drive several hours to ride something that takes a few minutes? It can't be THAT much fun, can it? Also, while the atmosphere inside the Rainforest Cafe is interesting, the food is predictable fare that you'd find in any theme restaurant, but priced two bucks a plate higher. I enjoyed my trip there (we went the the restaurant in Katy) as did my wife, but would we ever make a special trip just to go there? No. We happened to be in Katy Mills Mall and wanted a bite to eat.
Dude, unless you have unlimited free time on your hands, don't make the trip. It can't possibly be worth it, and THEN you're stuck in Galveston in October.
I would have to say Kyle Petty at Bristol ,so that I could ride around all day (Just like a Sunday drive in the country) And get to see all 42 of the other drivers racing past us several times during the race & I wouldn`t have to worry about going too fast with him cause he just rides around the track waving at all the fans anyway. Maybe I could end up on some home movies or even in a un-blurry picture on Yahoo sports page.
rainforset cafe has a ride! I've been to the one in Disneylang and it does't even have that! The One in Fisherman's warf doesn't have that (in SF). I'll ride it, perfect for taking a date.
Call and ask for your self, but it's only 1hr away!
wow your gonna drive more than an hour to ride one ride? at a "not so good" restaurant?
It depends
nope, but love the restaurant
