I think Catholics will vote against Romney no matter what.
Romney has baptized Catholics and Jews into the Mormon faith posthumously,
and that is an Excommunicate-worthy Sin to Catholics.
He's certainly making quite a few enemies with this mandate, for sure. Likely he has, and we'll see what the heavily Catholic Supreme Court has to say about it if he goes ahead with it.
Given that the vast percentage of US women WANT birth control, I think not. Most Catholics WANT contraception. It's not 1950 anymore.
95% of Roman Catholics families use birth control. They support him on this.
I don't think he chooses positions or legislates based on electability. He just seems to do what he thinks is best. Agree with him or not.
He sure did, as well as many many protestant votes
