The e-mail was most likely written in another language, using different letters, which your computer cannot display, for example Arabic or Chinese. The letters that it shows now is an interpretation of your computer, which does not mean anything and which cannot be converted into any other language. You would need to know in which language the original e-mail was written, which character set was used and you would need to add this to your own computer to be able to read the original text and if required, to be able to translate it. What you see now is gibberish which does not make any sense anymore. If you do not know the original language and character set used, you will never be able to read the e-mail. Contact the sender to write to you in English for example.
It could be in another language not installed on your pc, or it is a binary or rich text email. Save the text in notepad and try changing the files name to .rtf or .doc or .docx. But I would say it is in a language not installed on your pc, which is not going to be any good to you if you don't know the language.
