Can I still use the Sky+HD guide and recording if I cancel my subscription, and buy a £25 viewing card?
I want to cancel my Sky+HD subscription, and basically use it as a Freesat box. The Sky website says if you buy a £25 viewing card from them you can watch the free channels, including the HD ones, but it doesn't say anything about being able to record. Can I still record to the box via the on screen guide?

No, a freeview card will not work.. Recording requires a Sky card and subscription to the Sky service.
£25.00 what a rip off it use to be £20 and no u can not record any tv programs so the box will be no use im affraid

if u cancle sky u can get the same channles as what u get for paying £25.00 its a rip off to make u buy a new sky card
