What does "La Vita è Teatro. Tutti in Maschera" mean in English?
I've tried translating the Venice Carnival Theme 'La Vita è Teatro. Tutti in Maschera.'. Literally it means "Life is a theater, All in the mask". I understand the Life is a theater, but what does "all in the mask mean". Does it mean everyone wear a mask, or the theater is in the mask, or maybe something else??

it means that life is like a theatre and every one living is playing a role like wearing a mask to cover what is done whether it is good or bad,,you wont see the real person inside,it's like a play since it will be finished someday and the real personalities will be revealed.
I really don't think there is anything unclear in understanding the idea of this play.
