We provided her with two months rent so it isn’t due until June 1st, but we ordered cheques that were accidentally sent to a different bank 7 hours away. Which we explained but she isn’t understanding at all. (They will be here but it could be another 6 business days.)
So far we’ve had a really bad experience with the property manager. Very unprofessional. We asked if we could have the owners number but she won’t give it to us.

Of course she is not going to give you the owner's number. If the owner wanted to deal with tenants, she wouldn't have hired a manager and giving out the number would likely get the management company fired. You can always get a pack of temporary checks from your bank. In fact, they are free so go for it. When you are dealing with a difficult person, it is best to keep them happy, if you can. Fighting them unnecessarily is not the best method of dealing with them.
Only if the demand for how the rent is to be paid is in the lease. The property manager is just trying to bully you, just stand your ground. But beware too. The moment you pay the rent late even by one day, you will be giving the manager/landlord good cause to evict (if they refuse to accept the late payment).
She's got rent till June. The fact that you don't have new checks yet should not even be an issue.
