Proverbs 8:1-3 is WISDOM talking. and Colossians 2:2,3 says:"... in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in WHOM ARE HIDDEN ALL THE WISDOM and KNOWLEDGE".
Given the 2 scriptures, therefore, I believe that yes Jesus has a pre-human existence and was God's master worker.
However, some will NOT agree with this. But, that is their problem.
The fact of the matter, Jesus Christ has always been God, Jesus Christ as always in his essence been God, in the fullness, of the Godhead bodily. As it is written in Isaiah 9:6 read Isaiah 43:3 read Isaiah 43:11 read Titus 1:3 read 1 John 5:7 read 1 John 5:8
Whether he was or was not, Proverbs 8 certainly does not teach so.
Clearly - indisputably - Proverbs 8 is describing the personification of Wisdom. It is certainly not describing Jesus. To say the proverb is describing Jesus is to say that the author of the proverb was lying when he repeatedly indicated that he was describing Wisdom.
So you are saying the author of Proverbs was Jesus, speaking in the first person in that verse? Didn't the author go by the name of Solomon at that time? Are you suggesting King Solomon was the actual first coming of God's only begotten son?
Or are you just twisting verses to make them mean what you wish they meant?
I really do wish Christians would stop twisting Jewish sacred text all out of kilter just so they can have something "old" referring to their invented demigod Jesus. Rolls eyes
Jesus Christ, as “the firstborn of all creation,” always faithful to his Father Jehovah God, has the birthright through which he has been appointed “heir of all things.”—Col 1:15; Heb 1:2; see INHERITANCE.
I think he was the word of God who created by word as describe in Genesis 1. I believe the word was with God and the word was God. I believe the word was made flesh and pitched his tent in our midst.
I see no conflict between my belief and the verse you cite.
Before His birth as a human being, He was not "Jesus". That was the name His human parents gave Him, after the angel informed them that they were to do so.

Jesus and God the Father are one with the Holy Spirit. So of course He was with God, like it say in John

Yes, agreed.
