1. I think that evolution is/means- change.
2.I thing that evolution might have started at the big bang and everything might have evolved from the big bang. That's as far back as we can see our observable universe...
But..... and that's a big BUT-
... There could have been other big bangs before the one we can see and there could be more big bangs that will occur after the one we can see and know about. In fact, things could just be an endless cycle of-
big bang - singularity
big bang - singularity
big bang - singularity
big bang - singularity....etc, infinitely......
... And there could be multiverses, parallel universes, different dimensions, string theory membranes, etc, etc...
and if that's the case, maybe evolution never had a beginning. Maybe things were and always will be in a state of evolution or change!
This is a fascinating question!! What are your thoughts, ideas and theories regarding this?

If you are going to equate evolution to a single word, change.... Then why not just ask when change begins?
This obviously stems from the evolution vs creation argument, and is directed to biological evolution, so i will be answering with my own definition that evolution is the explanation to the variety of different species in the world today.
It started when the first form of life appeared. That's it. You might even call this life the first self-replicating molecule.
Evolution DID NOT begin at the big bang, how would something evolve from the big bang. after the big bang happened it took over 9 billion years for the earth to form, after that it took another billion years for the first life to occur and THAT is when evolution began on earth, we can't be sure there was no life
(or something similar to life) on another planet.
In simplest terms:
The theory of evolution states that all life on Earth arose from a common ancestor. Evolution at its most basic is the passing on of DNA. We know that DNA is passed on to our children. Why this is a problem for people I have no idea.
Now there is absolutely no way to answer this question in the space allowed.
It is a science question any way.
The best thing for you to do is the same thing/s I have done-
Go to school or the library and study the subject.
Now I am a person who worked in applied science and also a long time student of the Bible. I happen to believe that it is every ones responsibility not to trust some ones word on any thing that I have the ability to research independent of their point of view. I owe that to myself and to God.

Evolution on Earth began about 4 Billion years ago and is still happening.
According to biblical reference, it began with Gen 1
According to Darwins Orgins of Species, it started with microbial transmutation.
Personally, I think it started after creation. Ergo, evolution is the intrinsic value of creation.
