Last week during finals week at my university there were a bunch of White guys with big backpacks. I thought they were foreign exchange students or something. Though, as it turned out, they were Hindus who were proselytizing people by “giving away” books on Hinduism in exchange of “a small donation”. I was stopped about four times. I kind of wanted to tell the guys to f**k off, especially because I was stressed out because of my exams; but not wanting to be an @$shole, I took the time to listen to their propaganda. Two of the guys even said that Albert Einstein recommended the books (I wonder if that is true). Anyway, once I told the guys I didn’t have money (I honestly didn’t), they took the book back. Go figure. This also happened to me last year but out-of-state. A girl stopped me in a mall wanting to proselytize me. My brain was not functioning because I actually gave the girl ten dollars. She said “and remember karma, what give is what you get in life” or some b.s. along those lines. Are Hindus usually this pushy?

Who cares.. Let them give out their books, it's not hurting you -.-
Oh by the way, I wish you luck on your exams! Hopefully good marks for the win!!
;)
Hay...we aren't pushy! We would not have held you back & given you the book for free...Jehovah's Witnesses are a nonprofit making group who offer bible studies for free. We preach from door to door on a regular basis because of our desire to help our neighbours come to know God.
Bible prophesy will be fulfilled regardless of whether we believe it or not...we also try to warn people that the scene of his world will change beyond recognition in the near future. You are free to accept/reject the message as you see fit...and it is apparent that you have heard the message a few times at least. We believe that we are fulfilling the scripture " and this good news will be preached in all the inhabited earth and then the end will come"
First time I heard about it.
Unless someone is giving the Hindu a bad refutation pretending to be what they are not.
I have several Hindu friends who never mentioned any of their diffrence from my own belief unless I start asking. Even then, they are quite respectful by not rubbing it in.
Firstly, we're not pushy, also, we would have given you the book for free and seeing you were distracted/in a hurry not kept you from your business.
those are hindus from the hare krishna sect. ya they are pushy but most hindus dont belong to that sct.
