Anyone else wondering how they’re going to fit an Extreme Makeover McMansion on a Shrewsbury sized lot? ?
Those are tiny homes with tiny yards, and EM always builds monstrosities. Never mind that a huge house will look bizarre next to its neighbors. It's great they're helping these people; it's just too bad the show doesn't take into account the way the house fits into a neighborhood.

They said that they were going to make the home two stories in order to get more square feet. They still have to stay within the building codes which means that they can come only so close to the property lines. I dont thing this will end up as a McMansion.
they don't have to take anything into account...they just make a t.v. show...and did you know one of the McMansion owners have LOST their home, their kids college funds and all the money raised to HELP them...
I'd put their a**es to work for the rest of their lives to pay BACK what they lost. All that time, money and effort for idiots....
I have been wondering that myself. I thought maybe they would expand upward--adding more stories and an elevator or something.
