They were both created capable of sinning. Only that they never realize what actually is 'sinning' until after they were told that they have sinned by eating the apple. Anyway it wasn't eating the apple the 'sin', but disobeying 'God'. But the 'consequences' of sinning, they only realized upon being cast down to earth and upon experiencing the 'sufferings' on earth.

But in Islam, we don't believe in the concept of 'Original sin', thus do not associate the 'Original sin' with human existence on earth. Islam teaches, the 'Sin' committed by Adam and Eve was just a 'cause' for fulfilling Gods plan to create mankind from a 'single pair' of a common parent, on earth for a specific 'purpose'.

They were capable of sin in that they could choose whether or not to obey God's command not to eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. What Adam and Eve didn't fully understand until after they ate was sin's consequences--that they would die, as the Lord had warned them. Their innocence was gone--and once your innocence is gone (on any level), it's gone. You can't get it back.

The Bible says that as soon as Adam and Eve sinned, "their eyes were opened." They had never known guilt or shame before, and they were also afraid of their Lord, who had created them. So their souls had indeed already died, as eventually their bodies would die, too.

But God still loved them! In His forgiving love, He promised them that one day a Savior would come, descended from Adam and Eve themselves, and restore them to all they had lost (Genesis 3:15). In time, the Lord sent Jesus, His very own Son, who died for Adam and Eve, and every other person since then...

They were capable of sinning the minute they came into existence. They sinned WHEN they disobeyed. Their disobedience WAS the sin. And they DID know better. God couldn’t have been more specific. Don’t do this thing. If you do this thing, you will die. You can have all the other fruit you wan’t but not the fruit on this tree. Period. They heard this, Adam told Eve, Eve even repeated it to Satan. Of course they knew better.

Have mercy on Adam and eve, one apple bite and were all sinners, they were sinless and free of sin, Satan lead the temptation and introduced the first sin, people today commit many relative sins. Wonder what is here or wonder what is there , or I have never tried a brandy and will try one today for example, relative sins.

You obviously don't understand it. They were created with free will, which means they were capable of choosing to sin or not sin, and given one rule, don't eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. (No apple was mentioned).

They did, believing the lie they would be like God if they did, and sin was introduced to the world through that act.

A rebellious spirit son of God caused Adam’s wife Eve to sin, and she placed the temptation before Adam, who deliberately entered into rebellion against Jehovah. (Genesis 3:1-6; 1Timothy 2:13, 14)

The reason is that Adam and Eve misused their free will. They lost sight of the fact that they were not created to prosper apart from God and his laws. They decided to become independent of God, thinking that this would improve their lives. So they stepped outside the God-ordained limits of free will.—Genesis, chapter 3.

Jehovah God created Adam and Eve perfect and placed them in Paradise. They were endowed with a gift that distinguished them from animals—the gift of free will. (Genesis 1:28; 2:15, 19) As free moral agents, they could use their intellect to choose to love, serve, and obey their Creator. Or they could select a course of independence from God and deliberately disobey him. Both Adam and Eve thus misused their free will and sinned by disobeying God.

Adam and Eve had the ABILITY to sin from the moment of their creation. They were given FREE WILL or what we now call FREEDOM. God gave ALL mankind the ability to reject Him. Love is the ultimate freedom. And He is love. Neither actually "ate" anything. They participated in the rejection of God's command to them with the Serpent, which is another name for Lucifer. Once sin was commited, man forever learned what sin is and how to commit it.
