You are on an airplane traveling 30° south of due west at 120 m/s with respect to the air. The air is moving with a speed 44 m/s with respect to the ground due north.
2) What is the heading of the plane with respect to the ground? (Let 0° represent due north, 90° represents due easth).
3) How far west will the plane travel in 1 hour?
I have been stuck on this problem for a while and i just cant seem to figure it out, any help would be appreciated

Given: velocity of plane w/r/t air pVa = 120 m/s, Θ = 240º
also velocity of air w/r/t ground aVg = 44 m/s, Θ = 0º
pVg = pVa + aVg = 120cos240 i + (120sin240 + 44) j = -60 i - 60 j m/s
so the heading is SW, or 225º
west displacement is 60m/s * 3600s = 216 km
