Would the proper grammar be "teşekkür ederim Sarp" or "Sarp teşekkür ederim"?
my turkish friend Sarp recently gave me a gift and i am just wondering how to thank him properly in turkish, as my first language is english

Both are grammatically correct but the first one is more used
Both are proper. It is like you say: "Thank you, Sarp" or "Sarp, thank you".
However, the first one "TeÅekkür ederim, Sarp" is used more often.
You can also say: "TeÅekküler Sarp." and you can add "Ãok naziksin" (You are so kind)
