NPR JUST FIRED JUAN WILLIAMS FOR SAYING THE FOLLOWING ON THE BILL OREILLY SHOW: "I mean, look, Bill, I'm not a bigot. You know the kind of books I've written about the civil rights movement in this country," he said. "But when I get on a plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they're identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous."

Mr. Williams is Pretty Liberal but My Concern here is that If NPR can Fire him for making such a Statement then aren’t they showing a CLEAR Bias? I mean Would they Ever fire anyone for making a Statement that indicated they were “PRO” Muslim?
And if EVERYONE that Works at NPR HAS To have PRO Muslim Believes, Isn't that BIA's?
And to be Fair, NPR has Never fired anyone for making a negative statement towards Christianity. So with their CLEAR Bias, WHY SHOULD THEY GET TAX DOLLARS? Especially when we have such a Debt Crises!

With the current financial crisis this country is going through, the spending on NPR needs to be cut, as well as countless other wasteful government expenditures.
NPR can start advertising to pay the bills just like other broadcasting networks do or they can ask billionaire George Soros to kick in a little more than usual.
Technically, many things in America shouldn't be getting any money at all. So, if you really think about it, no, NPR and a million other things shouldn't receive funding but without such programs or items, you probably wouldn't even want to live in America. Basically, we have no money but we use it anyways to make people happy.
It should never have gotten it in the first place. Talk about something not in the Constitution. AND a waste of money ANYTIME, but especially in this tough times.
I don't think they should have gotten tax funding to begin with. And yes, they are clearly showing a bias with their knee-jerk firing of Williams, after his comment.
