Why won’t the fans go off on my truck?
I have a 2005 chevy sulverado 1500 with a 5.3 Recently my water pump went bad so I replaced the water pump, thermostat, and filled it back up with dex cool. Since then everything works fine except when the engine gets up to temp, the electric fans come on but they wont go off until I turn the truck off.

Turn off the AC or defrost. Fan should cycle on and off. If not, fan relay could be stuck closed.
Turn the climate control off. The AC will work which turns the fans on whenever the floor/ defrost mode is selected even if the AC button is not turned on.
