Why does my 11 month old kitten wakes up at 5am and starts crying? It’s like a mix of howling and a cry?
I have two cats, a 2 year old female and a 11 month old male. For the past week he’s been waking up at 5am and cries continuously. It’s only him doing it.
He might hear other cats outside fighting or meowing or a female in heat. Give him some good exercise in the early evening, this might help. Get him neutered now before any bad habits develop. Good Luck!

You haven't neutered him, have you? He wants out to go mate. It's hormones. Get him neutered ASAP. I sure hope the female is spayed????
If he is neutered them get him to the vet. Obviously something is wrong.
Not neutered, or hungry.
At 5 months, he should eat between 2 & 3 times per day. If he's not neutered, he will be bothering you until you hey that done.
Do not "self-feed". Actually put the food down for him to eat. Make a mix of dry, canned, and water.
Feed him and go back to bed. Maybe he's mewling at some prowling intruder outside he sees through the window. He wants to go out and fight.
