A prime example was when I went to see The Fast & The Furious. When the innocent truck driver was being attacked, I felt bad for the guy. Yet, it seemed like most of the rest of the audience was applauding because Vin Diezel was getting what he wanted. It only made me wonder what exactly was wrong with the others that made them root for "the wrong side of the law".
From that point on I just chalk it up to everybody enjoys what they enjoy.
I think trying to do that is part of the nature of a great discussion about movies among movie lovers. I try not to take it or myself too seriously though.
