we know each other through mutual friends, but we just talked to other like a few times before, she added me on facebook and asked me to have dinner together today, she said she would contact me, but failed to do so, why didnt she contact me while she was the one to ask me to dinner?

I have had a similar problem just stay calm and consider yourself lucky that she asked you to dinner that is unusual she may have gotten busy and forgotten the next time you see her you should toss a day out and see if it works for her
