the Roman Catholic Pope of those times was Pope Innocent III::::
Why did he specify and send children to their certain deaths or slavery and conversion to Islam
Update:@ T. H. S. T. :::: Then i suggest you look toward the Moorish records of those times... Instead of christian records particularly the slave market records and then come back to me on that perhaps.

Yes, they were Roman Catholics. But they did not represent Roman Catholicism; rather, they represented a crazy notion they had gotten into their heads.
The Pope did, indeed, meet with one of the groups of children. He told them they should go home, rather than continuing their journey to the Holy Land.
Much of the history of this movement is unclear, but it is clear that (unlike the adult crusades) the Children's Crusade was not initiated by Church authorities.
Care to share a citation or three, or should we just take your word for it? Your bullshit wikipedia article does not say the Church sent them. In fact, they tried to prevent it. The stupid lives loudly in you.

“The so-called "Children's Crusade" is a historical myth. The traditional version of the story is that around 1212 a young shepherd boy received a vision of Jesus asking him to lead a crusade to liberate the Holy Land. Never happened
Neither "crusade" was made up of children, but actually seems to have been made up mainly of devout peasants. The "children" element seems to have been inspired by the fact that whole families joined both movements and also by the youth of the two shepherd leaders”
