Okay so I started becoming interested in singing and I want to take a step out of my comfort zone and belt high notes but my voice just can’t go high like a falsetto. Ever since I turned 12 (I’m 23 now) I can never make my voice to go high pitched like the “woo” sound or yodeling sound or even scream in general, it’s like my voice gives up on me when I want to hit falsettos or just scream in general. Is my vocal chords damaged or something ? Any way to fix it to be capable of having my voice do those little high pitched falsetto sounds? Thanks for your help!

that wasnt the question was it ? u are scared that if u go high, u will lose it and ur voice will like break up or sound harsh right ? well if ur voice does sound broken up on high notes then my friend there isnt much u can do about it. its the same thing with me but i learnt that okay if i dont sound like justin bieber i can try to work on my original voice.... and now i can go on really, really, really high notes too. it does sound harsh but so does nusrat fateh ali khan but he didnt see that as a problem.. i hope i helped
not everyone can do those things and it has to do with the shape of your vocal cords and how fast they vibrate.
this link explains it simply and very well.
