That's a generalization. And it's the first time I've seen someone say Americans are more accepting than Europeans. There are idiots everywhere, though. Some accept, some don't. Usually depends on the education of the particular person, not necessarily JUST the culture.
That depends. American society is based on the 'melting pot' concept of their origins. Yet they still used to discriminate against people based on their origins, e.g. the Irish.
England appears pretty tolerant on some levels - but there are still some people who are very intolerant hence racism in general. Likewise in America, there are people who are intolerant because of skin colour or religion or sexual orientation. The same as in Europe.
It is hard to say who is worse - and ultimately, while there are still predudices (and there always will be) does it really matter?
Maybe there are more slaves to sin here in the USA. When people are bad sinners they let you get away with your sin so as to feel justified by what they do. But me, I preach on the street and I tell people they are lost and going to hell. I have a bull horn too and I'm the loudest voice there is. I tolerate no sin. When I see sin, I get louder in rebuking it. I live in the Wild, Wild, West of California. So you can guess that I am really loud. There is no peace for the wicked. Their soul will be tormented forever burning in the lake of fire. So because I care for people, I tell them how they can turn to Jesus and repent and get born again by the Holy Spirit so that they don't have to go to hell.
Americans are more tolerant to American customers. Bring a middle easter, turban wearing man into this country and then ask him how tolerated he feels he's been.
minorities express their "opinions" on race daily and freely, and white folks keep their mouths shut for fear of being called a racist for doing the same.

I am curious as to how you see us as more tolerant. The news media likes to portray us as less tolerant than Europeans.

You listen to America regarding politics and religion lately? What America are you talking about...
That depends, are you a white, anglo-saxon, protestant, heterosexual american? If so, then yeah, they are all for accepting differences.
Well we have more minorities, and we hate muslims less.
I hadn't noticed. I thought it was a bit contrary to that, actually.
