Most doctors today believe that, unless your temp is over 100.5, you are not considered to have a fever.
However, if you have symptoms WITH an elevated temp, such as chills, sweating, swollen glands, changes in appetite, I would definitely seek a doctors opinion.
Always remember though, wash your hands ALL the time! Cover your mouth with your ELBOW when you cough (NOT your hands), if you are going to touch your face, STOP AND THINK!: what did I touch last? Who probably touched it too? Where did THEY last put THEIR hands? Up their nose? Down their pants?
NEVER touch your face without using a sanitizer (you can find jugs of the stuff at any dollar store) or washing your hands. Your body will thank you for it & you will get sick a LOT less. (I won't even open a bathroom door without a paper towel - how many people left that room WITHOUT washing their hands? Ick!)
It depends on how someone defines a fever. One definition is any temperature over 100F and another definition is any temperature that is above the normal range. The normal range varies with different individuals. Most docs go with the 100 F definition, but this definition is completely arbitrary. The definition using the normal range is actually more meaningful.
