I’m going to need about 100’ cheapest locally is around $24 for a 10’ which I feel is way high there has to be a cheaper option.
If anyone read this question last night I’ll try to answer your questions. No I’m not using it for electrical work so switching to PVC would not help. What I’m trying to do is make a set of lighting trusses.
I’m thinking 2” conduit would be the cheapest way to get a solid 2” pipe if there is any way to get a cheaper 2” pipe I’d love to know about it. I could probably even use a 1 ½ “ pipe for what I’m trying to do yeah that would work just fine now that I think about it.

There is nothing cheaper tham EMT conduit. The cheapest way you can get it is a late night visit to a construction site. This also could land you in jail.
$2.40 per ft is really pretty cheap. The price of galvanized steel has almost doubled from the start of 2008. I would buy it now if I were you.
