I just planted this pittosporum tenuifolium plant on Monday- totally healthy. I followed the nersuries instructions. Amended the soil with anti-shock amendment and general plant fertilizer and loosened up the root ball. I have watered it every other day and now its wilting. What's wrong?

Your plant appears to have leaf burn - probably from your plant fertilizer. You may have over-fertilized. My advice is to water copiously for a few days to remove the over abundance of fertilizer. Generally the anti-shock amendment like B-1 is plenty to get your plant started-and some don't even recommend that. Good luck.
Sometimes when you buy plants from a garden centre they have led very 'comfy' lives, water every day and living under shade cloth.
You then take them home and plant them in the sun and let them dry out. pittosporum is pretty tough and unless you have cut off a lot of roots when you planted, it should recover with time.
Don't overwater, give it a deep watering when it needs it (when you stick your finger in the soil it comes out on the dryish side), if you water lightly the water is not getting down to the roots. don't give any more fertilizer this can stress the plant.
If the plant is adjusting to a change in situations and is not left to dry out it should recover, don't panic.
Pittosporum Tenuifolium Problems
They put limits on level 5, 6, and 7 users to stop the cheaters, point-gamers, and trolls. A lot of people have been complaining about these limits. To be honest, it hasn't been so hard for me because I almost never answer more than 80 questions. Yahoo! might change things if enough people complain (that was what happened to the new rating system). But don't hold your breath.
are the leaves yellow? they look kind of yellow at the bottom of your plant. If this is true you might be overwatering, have a bug problem, or have to salty soil.
here is a great website that can advise you on this type of plant and help you eliminate what the problem may be...they are rather hardy plants so you really shouldn't be having this problem.
