Jesus didn't consider himself to be a Messiah or a God. The Romans made him that, after they slaughtered many rival genuine Christian sects and burnt all their scrolls. They wanted dominion over Christianity to unite Rome under one religion---that had Roman, not Christian values.
Jews dislike Romans for good reason and would never adopt their religion.
Rome did not legalize Chrstianity for over 300 years after they had destroyed Israel and sold the surviving Jews into slavery all across the empire. The Roman state never declared what you claim they did.
Rome? Converted? Â In biblical times, Rome persecuted Christianity, slaughtering thousands of Christians in the process. Yet, huge numbers of Jewish people recognized the long awaited Messiah, and accepted Him, putting their lives on the line by becoming Christians.
Rome didn't convert to Christianity in Jesus' day. It was the Romans who actually nailed Jesus Christ to the Cross.Â
When Pilate wrote above the Cross, "Jesus Christ the King of the Jews" many Jews went to Pilate and said, "Don't say He WAS the King of the Jews, say that He SAID he was the King of the Jews, and Pilate said, "What I have written I have written"
If anyone is buried, we may not exactly accept who they said they were in life, but it still has to be written on their gravestone if it was true, whether we agree with it or not. So the Romans had to have it written that Jesus was King, even though they never believed it themselves neither did the Jews
It took Paul the Apostle to be converted to Christ on the Road to Damascus in the book of Acts after Christ had ascended back to His Father in heaven and then Paul was water baptized to wash away his sins (Acts 22:16) and God and Jesus Christ then ordained Paul to go and preach to the Gentiles who were Greek and Roman - which Paul did faithfully all his life.
Christianity has been accepted by some and not others forever. Many Jews have received Christ as their Messiah - others haven't. Those who have, are called "Born again Jews" but that's how ordinary people are in life. God has given us all a free will, so even God won't force people to accept Christ as Saviour. It's mankind's own choice in the end once they have heard the gospel.
Paul preached the gospel of Christ to those on Mars Hill in Rome where they worshipped an unknown God as they called Him. Paul explained who he was but they still didn't turn immediately. They just said they would hear him again on the matter.
It was the Romans who put Paul in prison in the deepest dungeon and he was guarded by a Roman centurion whom Paul converted to Christianity in Acts 16:25
Hi sweets! I don't understand the question. Why would what Rome does make any difference as to what Jews believe? That's like asking why didn't the Jews convert to Islam when Muhammad conquered Mecca and Medina and turned the Kaaba that was full of idols into a shrine or mosque to God? When will atheists finally realize Muhammad is the last and final prophet?Â
Candy baby, you can say anything you like, but without evidence it is just a pick up line guys will whistle too. Be honest were you born a bimbo?
Jews don't believe Jesus was the messiah because he didn't fulfill any of the genuine Messianic prophecies. Christianity being made the official religion of Rome didn't change that fact. Those prophecies are still unfulfilled.
The Romans had invaded the Jewish homeland, were occupying the Jewish homeland, and were actively oppressing them in their homeland by taking their sovereignty, imposing a government over them, and taxing them heavily to support Rome. And that's just in the Jewish homeland. Everywhere throughout the Roman Empire, Jews were systematically persecuted by the Romans. Jews saw Romans as their enemy. So the Roman Empire converting to Christianity served more to turn Jews away from accepting Jesus as their Messiah than accept it, especially since the Roman Empire in so doing blamed Jews for orchestrating the execution of Jesus Christ and tricking the local Roman politicians into Crucifying him based on charges they'd trumped up and after essentially rigging the jury by infiltrating the crowd that condemned him to die and calling out for his execution and beating down those who called out for his freedom, the Roman Empire labeling Jews "Christ Killers," which only further stoked Romans' persecution of Jews. So Jews converting to Christianity because Rome did would be tantamount to sleeping with the enemy and letting him slit your throat.Â
Why don't people who have been predicting the end of the world from global warming realize they are wrong after the fourth consecutive failed prediction that the icecaps will melt in ten years or we only have ten years left to save the world? They've been doing it since the 70s and not one prediction has come true and yet they still believe.Â
