Update:We know they had no sympathy for anyone that was too old to work. They sent the elderly to their deaths. So how much sympathy do they deserve just because of their age?

They should be put in prison until they die.
I'm not defending what the man did, but it seems to be cruel and senseless to legally go after Nazis who are ancient and feeble. We shouldn't sink down to the level of the SS.

Unlike the Jewish prisoners who died he has been able to live his life for the past 75 years. His age now should be no cause for leniency but his age at the time of his crimes might. A year in prison should be enough.

If it can be proven that they were willing particiopants in the annihilation of civilians, then the law should be followed. They shouldn't get points just because they evaded capture for years.
That being said, they are also entitled to due process and a fair trial.
