Beware that "USA the Peacemaker" will be written in history school books... and the Truth will be kept in some academic circle... The biggest issue of your question is the Truth.
From the American imperialistic point of view, it was a political success, as part of their NWO. USA stabbed its flag upon Serb sovereign territory - Serbia being the last Russian potential ally (of Russia struggling in newly fallen USSR and with favorable-American Yeltsin.) Germany was pushed aside and a potential point of destabilization installed into the European Union, under USA control. United Nations was degraded and pushed aside by NATO members, which was a historical precedent, along with the neo-debut military participation of re-united Germany (which started orchestrating the destruction of Yugoslavia before USA took interest in the matter). This opened ground to further destruction of non-obedient third world countries... The American military lobby and certain American politicians profited, not to talk about natural resources and manpower. To the bottom line, the end justified the means...
From my point of view, it was a diabolic act of military supremacy against the principles of peaceful coexistence. United Nations lost its credibility, 15 tons of depleted uranium have infiltrated into the genes of both the Albanian and Serb population, Albanians engaged in organ harvesting under the shadow of NATO, having harvested at least some 300 people, cassette bombs were used against civilians... The attack itself upon Serbia created a humanitarian catastrophe in which many innocent Albanians and Serbs lost their lives - something which had escalated due to the fact that the Albanians were signaled that NATO was going to jump in, for what peace was not on the agenda of Albanians. Kosovo became a region ruled on terror by Albanian drug mafia clans (not to mention the flourishing of forced prostitution).
Upon everything, same as with Bosnia, USA created a false picture of what was going in Kosovo, in order to manufacture a justified cause at their Sacrifice Altar of Invincibility. American media has been manipulated in that direction, and the truth well hidden from the casually interested average American. Even justice-loving American intellectuals and congressmen were fooled into it:
The Kosovo war has not ended yet. Kosovo Serbs remain in Kosovo. Americans and some people involved from the EU... have not quite yet succeeded in marginalizing and relativizing the organ harvesting issue. Long live Dick Marty!!!!!!!!!!!
My opinion is that the USA had no business getting involved in the Kosovo war. If they wanted to play "peacemaker" then they should have started with countries that were actually in desperate need of help, such as Rwanda. If you don't know about the Rwanda Genocide, look it up.
even although, i'm no longer an Australian, i'm an American. i think of Australians could stay and help us out, in spite of each little thing we help you in WW2. You in no way understand what us of a Al-Qaeda could strike next?, it could be Australia or the united kingdom (no offense to the two the australians or britains), yet this is the time we live now days. In united statesa. we've already had 2 botched assaults from Al-Qaeda final 365 days's christmas underclothes bomber and the time sq. vehicle bomber that have been the two botched assaults. i desire you australians and stay and stay an american allie. we choose the help. God Bless Australia for backing us up. i'm going to be praying for the Commonwealth of Australia. And, i could no longer thank the militaries of our allies greater. for backing us up, as quickly as we choose it.
